Porcelain Veneers or Lumineers?
Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel removal so the porcelain sits flush with neighboring teeth. They give our team the most control over shape and color.
Lumineers are made from a thinner ceramic and often need little to no reduction. They suit patients who want a modest change and already have well-positioned teeth, but they cover heavy discoloration less predictably. We will tell you plainly which we think will look better on you.

How We Plan Your Veneers
Health and Bite
Digital X-rays and an intraoral camera show us the condition of each tooth and how your teeth meet. A heavy bite or nighttime clenching changes the design we recommend.
Shape and Shade
We photograph your smile and scan your teeth with our 3Shape digital scanner, then preview the proposed shape on your own teeth before anything is done. Shade is chosen against your skin tone and the teeth that will not be veneered.
Preparing and Bonding
The tooth is shaped as needed and a temporary is placed. Once the porcelain arrives from the lab, we try it in, confirm you like it, and bond it permanently.

Consultation
You tell us what bothers you about your smile. Our team examines your teeth and gums and explains whether veneers, Lumineers, or another option is the best match.
Preview
Using your scan and photos, we show you a digital or wax version of the result. You can ask for changes before a tooth is touched.
Preparation
Teeth are prepared under local anesthetic if needed, a final scan is taken, and temporaries protect the teeth for about two weeks.
Bonding
We check fit, color, and bite, then bond each veneer and polish the edges. You leave the same day with your finished smile.
Choosing Which Teeth to Include
Most people show six to eight upper teeth when they smile. Some patients need one or two veneers for a specific tooth, while others treat the full smile line. We look at what shows when you talk and laugh, not just in a posed photo, and recommend the smallest number that gets you there.
Other Ways to Reach the Same Goal

Keeping Veneers Looking New
Brush, floss, keep your regular cleanings, and avoid biting fingernails, ice, or pen caps. If you grind or clench, a custom mouth guard worn at night protects the porcelain and the teeth underneath.
If a veneer feels loose or chips, keep the piece, avoid chewing on that side, and call us. Do not reattach it with any glue from home. Household adhesives damage the tooth and make a proper repair harder.

Can Veneers Be Removed Later?
Traditional veneers are permanent because enamel is reshaped to place them. Lumineers require less reduction and are sometimes reversible, but plan on either option being a long-term commitment.
Will They Look Fake?
Not when they are designed well. We match translucency, texture, and slight shade variation so they blend with your natural teeth. Very white, very uniform results are a choice, not a requirement.
Can I Whiten My Teeth After Veneers?
You can whiten your natural teeth, but the veneers stay the same color. That is why we finish whitening before the final shade is selected.
How Long Will Veneers Last?
Many patients get ten to fifteen years or more from porcelain veneers with good care and a night guard when needed. Chewing habits and gum health affect the timeline.
Do I Need a Full Set?
No. The number depends on what shows when you smile and which teeth need help. Some patients need one, and others choose eight to ten for a uniform look.
